Hello,
We’re building a new residence in SE Washington State and planning to use Lunawood thermally treated 1x t&g siding in a vertical application. We have plywood wall sheeting, no overhangs and planning to use Homeslicker behind horizontal 1×3’s for nailing. Question: Is it necessary to use a self adhered WRB such as Henry Blueskin VP100 or Hydrogap SA in this case or is a mechanically fastened ok? ie: Standard Hydrogap, Blueskin, Mento 1000 or similar… I figure self adhered is probably the best, but heading into colder weather I wasn’t sure if it would stick well. Climate zone 5b, average rainfall 17″ annually, average temps 40-50 degrees currently and we plan to install WRB soon. Any insight into which product or type would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
