Wall & Flashing Details – GreenBuildingAdvisor

Hi,
I’m in the process of building a new Barn with a 2×6 frame wrapped around an antique barn frame on a new concrete foundation.
I put together this wall detail illustration with flashing and wondered if it looks right.
Any input would be helpful.

Paul,
That looks like it would result in a well performing wall. A couple of small points:
– If you aren’t planning to air condition the space, you can save some money by omitting the interior variable-perm vapour retarder.
– Make sure that the rodent flashing goes up to the first hat channel to keep the little devils out.
