I am designing, and plan to build a home for myself in Washington Texas (Central Texas). I have the floor plan drawn, but I need to get the assembly details drafted. I need the window detail, roof to wall connections, wall assembly, and wall to slab on grade assembly. Additionally, I was hoping to get some feedback about my proposed assemblies.
I am building slab on grade (post tension cables), with 2×6 exterior stud walls, Rockwool bating, in the cavities, then either 1/2 plywood sheeting with prosoco for the wrb, then 2 inches of Rockwool continuous exterior comfort board, then 3/4″ furring strips, then fiber cement lap siding. The roof, I plan to use zip sheathing, with asphalt shingles, and then closed cell insulation. For the connection I was planning on taking the sheathing up to, and wrapping the soffit to meet the zip roof sheathing to make a complete envelope. I need help getting the details drafted, but I also want to know if this plan will work.
Thanks,
