I have an old outdoor red pine log sauna (6 inch thick logs) that I’ve been remodeling. My wife doesn’t like the pine pitch on the logs on the interior and we’re considering adding tongue and groove cedar on the interior walls.
My question would be is there any reason I’d need to add a foil vapor barrier over the existing log walls? I’m in cz 5 and the sauna gets used in the dead of winter. Is there any chance of condensation between the existing logs and the cedar I might add?
