Building a “pretty decent house” lol in BC Canada zone 6. I am wondering if there’s any red flags in my roof system.
Layup from inside to outside is as follows:
-exposed 4×12 fir rafters on 32” centres monopoly framed.
-3/4” tng plywood
-gaf storm guard peel and stick leak barrier
-4×5.5” bolted on timber outriggers for overhang on 32” centres.
-5.5” Polyiso on entire monopoly roof and between outriggers
-1.5” EPS between 16” OC 2×4 strapping (purlins) over entire roof minus overhangs (2x4s fastened to 4x12s using 10” structural screws)
-1×6” tng soffit on overhangs with 3/4” “shims” or strapping to bring flush with rest of roof assembly.
-gaf deck armour synthetic breathable underlayment
-snap lok 12” standing seam metal roofing.
This is a clerestory roof style or two shed roofs. Are there any red flags with this assembly? Or any easy to change details to increase durability or performance at this point?
thanks in advance!
