I have to detail this weird little wall section that’s a result of one roof section stopping about 4 feet short of the other. The lighter coloured horizontal strapping is where the full length sheet of siding will reach. I do have some drip flashing to cover the intersection, but the resulting top section is going to be very short; maybe 6″ on the left side, and only 2.5″ on the right side once you account for the j-channel at the top.
I am tempted to skip the drip flashing, and just do a simple overlap. Do you think this is something I will regret?
