Hello, Builder/owner considering the Panasonic spot Erv Fv-04VE1 for my 900 square foot new construction house in coastal Maine. Its a tight house, assuming under 1.0 ACH 50, and my CFM needs are around 30, so I feel like it’s sized right. It’s an open floor plan with 12 foot ( on average) vaulted ceilings below a 3/12 roof pitch. The kitchen and bathroom walls are only 7.5 feet tall so heat, air and vapor can flow freely throughout the space. I am considering mounting the erv to a wall in the bathroom, not going with a ceiling fan ( don’t like them), possibly doing a ductless range hood ( one less penetration plus I am a vegetarian) and not doing a bathroom fan (other than the erv that would be mounted there).
Does this sound like a good ventilation plan for the home? I am heating with a heat pump and the average number of occupants with be 2, although usually just me. I have heard mixed reviews about the unit above (although I love the price point) mostly about the wiring, etc. Thanks, Stephen
