Solar panel integration with clay tile – GreenBuildingAdvisor

Hi all, I’ve looked online and haven’t been able to find a proper detail showing how solar panels should be integrated with a clay tile roof. Working on a project with 2-piece clay mission tile. We’ve used asphalt shingle over the entire section of the roof getting solar and plan to go back after solar installation to picture frame the tile around the panels (this comp-out approach was recommended by both the solar company and the roofer, but neither can provide a detail showing how the panels should be integrated with the tile).
My main question is how to integrate the tile at the upper and especially lower edge of the solar panels. I imagine its fine to have the tile on the sides tuck under as much as possible mostly for cosmetic reasons.
To me it makes sense to have the solar panels overlap the lower tile, so the bulk water from the solar panels is caught by the tile underneath and shed naturally by the tile roof. Solar company isn’t sure they can have the panel mounted that high. If not, I would think at least you would want the bottom tiles to be overlapped by the panel. Concern is if the panels just butt up against the tile, then the bulk water will be dumped behind them. We have mortar bird stops – I’m sure the water will find its way out, just worried about high volumes of water and debris.
Does anyone have a detail they can share for this? Thanks in advance.
See attached drawing for just a rough idea of what I’m talking about.
