Hello Green Builders Far and Wide,
I’m residing a house in Climate Zone 6A (shout out to my 6A brothers and sisters). My new assembly is Blueskin VP100 WRB, 2″ Timber HP Fiberboard, 3/4″ vertical rainscreen, LP Smartside siding.
I’m replacing an EPDM Rubber roof above a mudroom that connects to a second-story vertical sidewall (see pics). Anyone have any good details on flashing the EPDM roof to the sidewall WRB? A Blueskin rep said to flash the rubber roof to the board sheathing with Butyl tape and then adhere the Blueskin VP100 onto the face of the Butyl tape.
The tar paper in the photo on the sidewall is coming off. That’s remnants from some temp waterproofing from when I was pulling off old shingles behind where the rubber roof terminates into the sidewall.
Thank you all and to all a good day.
