PSB Industries will showcase its skid-mounted methane deoxo and dryer systems at the RNG Works exposition, running Sept. 15–17 in Milwaukee.
The systems remove oxygen and moisture from biogas generated by landfills, anaerobic digesters and wastewater facilities. Raw biogas often contains contaminants that fail to meet product-pipeline specifications.
The equipment is custom-engineered based on gas composition, flow rate, temperature and pressure requirements. Optional guard beds can be integrated to protect catalytic reactors from hydrogen sulfide exposure. Additionally, standard models are available for dairy digester applications requiring integration with upstream and downstream processing equipment.
The methane deoxo units handle inlet oxygen concentrations from 0.1% to 2.5% by volume, reducing oxygen levels to below 0.1% or under 5 ppmv O₂ when required. Dual-tower desiccant dryers then drop moisture levels below 7 lb/MMSCF, with typical output dropping below 4 lb/MMSCF. The company also offers standalone units configured for specific moisture or oxygen removal needs.
