Possible Solutions for Vented Attic Sheathing Condensation Solutions in PNW (Vancouver, Canada) – GreenBuildingAdvisor

Working on a new build with a vented attic in CZ 4A and becoming concerned about nighttime radiative cooling leading to intermittent condensation on the roof sheathing. Exterior roof insulation or treated sheathing would be the most robust solution, but the project is already beyond that point.
The roof currently has standard roof vents installed (1:150 vent area). Soffit vents are not yet installed. I’m considering two alternatives and would appreciate input from anyone with field experience.
Option 1: Convert existing roof vents into vapor diffusion ports by covering them with a high-perm, airtight membrane (e.g., Delta-FOXX) and using unvented soffits. Has anyone successfully used point roof vents as diffusion ports rather than a continuous ridge vent? Any known risks in CZ 4A assuming excellent ceiling air sealing and adequate diffusion area?
Option 2: Retain roof vents with unvented soffits and add a ducted air inlet below the soffit, with a damper controlled to limit humid nighttime air while allowing daytime drying. Conceptually appealing, but the implementation may be a challenge. Ducts would run on the attic floor and distribute air across the attic.
I’m aware a well-executed soffit-to-ridge vented attic remains the standard approach locally, despite its limitations under these conditions. Interested in any data, monitoring results, or lessons learned from similar assemblies.
