Metal siding to patio detail – GreenBuildingAdvisor

We are building a breezeway home with corrugated metal siding over coravent rainscreen and currently working with the sider on how to detail the breezeway area. Specifically the area where the siding meets the patio concrete.
Our sider said, they would normally create a j-channel that goes against the bottom of the wall onto the patio and then caulk that seam to make sure water and rain doesn’t get behind it. But, our sider is new to coravent, and he has been trying to find detailed install instructions without much luck that would apply to our siding choice.
Since the plan is to install the coravent bug screen to the sheathing first, and then a L-channel over that to cover the ribs of the corrugated siding (preventing bug infiltration), he’s thinking that maybe we install a small 1×1” L at the very bottom, use flashing tape to secure, then install the coravent bug screen 1/4” up from patio for airflow.
The reason he’s trying to find something to cover that lower 1/4” against the wall/patio meeting is because that lower part of the wall is 2” foam insulation (which is over the stem wall) & siga tape that almost goes to the cement patio and he’s hoping a base L- channel would direct any condensation that may happen away from the foundation while also protecting the exposed foam.
Would appreciate any thoughts.
