Industrial users facing changing fluorinated gas (F-gas) rules have new refrigerant choices in Pfannenberg Inc.’s updated Green Series of enclosure cooling units, which protect electronics inside electrical cabinets.
The line uses nonflammable R513A refrigerant as its standard, which the company recommends for many industrial applications. Units are also available ready for R1234yf, a mildly flammable refrigerant, where safety requirements permit it.
Pfannenberg said the updated units use less refrigerant and improve energy efficiency and cooling performance. The company said one design platform covers a wide range of enclosure sizes, from compact cabinets to equipment with higher cooling needs.
