Can someone explain what this table means “Heating Capacity for Standard Condition” for a Daikin VRV? The contractor is using it to say that for example the first line: at 130 load factor, outdoor temp around -4F, indoor temp 70F, total capacity of the 2 ton unit would be 23,800 BTU.
But the second attached specification shows that at 5F the max BTU output is 11,500.
I’m pretty sure the first table means something different than he thinks it means. The second page seems to fit with our experience and explains why we can’t get to temperature when it’s cold out. I need to understand the first table so I can understand the discrepancy.
Thanks!
