We waterproofed the front entry/landing with a liquid waterproofing, then bonderized steel and went over it with liquid waterproofing before pouring the concrete landing/steps. The bonderized flashing was carried up the wall over the sill plate and up the sheathing at least 6″.
Now installing the weep screed, we were planning to use stainless steel and I’m wondering about the risk of galvanic corrosion from stainless fasteners penetrating the bonderized steel – because of the liquid waterproofing the flashings wouldn’t be in contact, only the fasteners.
Is it worth the risk or should we just go with galvanized weep screed?
