My opinion is – moisture damage is bad for buildings.
Joking aside, I used to work as an Energy Auditor for an income based weatherization program and it was my job (i.e. I volunteered) to crawl through attics and crawlspaces. Most of the component failures I saw were due to one of two things:
1. Bulk water intrusion
2. Fans that concentrated moisture in areas with moisture sensitive materials (unvented or improperly vented fans being the biggest culprit)
If it was my building, I would do an inspection and try to get some data collected. I would also try the vent the dryers to the outside if at all possible.
Good luck, and have fun!
