I just buy a concrete Dom House

the sheetrock walls are some all the way up to the ceiling some are not.

2 floors, one basement. but all the frame, round building is concrete. 

sustainability energy air talking about, if I leave a gap bottom and top of the second floor middle dividing sheetrock walls, would it help?

its located on the desert, so extreme climate situations.
