Been finding fiberglass insulation in our house for months… trying to find the best way to air seal our interior – GreenBuildingAdvisor

Hey all, we’ve been dealing with this for a few months and are slowly starting to lose our minds over it. We bought an older home that had fallen into a bit of disrepair, and one of the first things we did was replace the old rat-infested insulation with new fiberglass batts. Well, ever since then we’ve been finding fiberglass in our clothes, our rugs, our furniture… basically every surface imaginable. At first we assumed it was from the original install, but at this point it’s been almost 6 months so now we think it must be coming in from somewhere.
We air sealed all our recessed lighting, caulked nearly every joint but still we’re finding it. Recently, my wife lifted up a floorboard and found a pile of it just sitting on the subfloor of one of our closets. It looks like older insulation so our best guess is maybe it’s just accumulated in the wall cavities over the years and is blowing in through gaps between the floor and wall. We’re thinking that maybe air sealing the crawlspace might help, but really we’re grasping at straws at this point. Anyone have any guess what might be causing this, or a professional we might talk to that could diagnose it?
