Are all Minisplits difficult to impossible to clean? – GreenBuildingAdvisor

We had mini-splits when no one knew what they were—I have a double head 1 sized at 8000 BTU up and 12000down  

It costs $300-$400 to clean – much to my surprise- as they seek to have mold issues, and clogged drains are a sure thing as they get older.

Has any OEM addressed this?

The concept is great for energy, but you give back your savings in bad, moldy air and hefty cleaning bills.
