I’m working on a cabin in Climate Zone 7 and considering using 1/2- or 3/4-inch plywood as the interior wall finish instead of drywall. I like plywood because it provides a durable surface for attaching shelves and other items, and it would also avoid the taping and mudding required with drywall.
my main concern is moisture. Could the interior plywood create a problem if it is installed over a vapor-retarding membrane? Would it limit the wall’s ability to dry in either direction?
