Hello everyone,I am developing a modular roofing and siding platform focused primarily on TR-BIPV (Thermal Recovery Building-Integrated Photovoltaics). The primary goal is to put thermal harvesting front and center. Instead of standard “bolted-on” panels that waste massive amounts of thermal energy, this system unifies PV, thermal recovery, ventilation, and structural weather protection into a single building envelope component. The installation looks like the roof itself, using a multi-functional design. The TR-BIPV System Core:Thermal Recovery: Active heat harvesting directly behind the PV layer for space heating and domestic hot water.Solar Power Generation: High-efficiency PV seamlessly embedded into roofing and siding profiles.Ventilation & Moisture: Built-in drainage paths and airflow channels for passive thermal regulation and building envelope protection.Structural Support: A zero-visible-hardware fastening system serving as primary exterior cladding.I want to connect with mechanical engineers, HVAC designers, and building scientists. I would love your insights on:What fluid or airflow configurations have you found most efficient for continuous residential thermal energy harvesting? What are the primary concerns regarding thermal expansion stresses between the PV elements and the integrated thermal recovery backing?Looking forward to your technical feedback.
