Whole home dehumidifier w/ ERV? – GreenBuildingAdvisor

We have a new build and an ERV installed. The ERV runs constantly on a low speed and boosts when anyone is in the showers or in the kitchen when needed. The air conditioner is also variable speed. My question is as spring begins, the humidity in the home is rising a little higher than I’d like it to (ideally want to keep it between 35-40%). We have an independent dehumidifier in the basement and on the main floor, which does the job, but I’m wondering if anyone has thoughts on whether it would be better to install a whole home dehumidifier. I’ve heard this can be done wrong and put in the wrong location leading to mold so I originally didn’t opt for this, but we would like to keep humidity out of the ducts and off the coil. Thoughts?
