You can either crop them, or use one of the free photo editing site to reduce their size.

I’d prefer you upload it to a sharing site and post a link. The software here limits the size that photos can be viewed at, and if it’s a diagram of any complexity you can’t see any details.

You can also resize the photo before you upload it. I open the photo on my computer and right click on it. The drop-down menu has a resize tab. From there you can drop the image below the 3 MB.
