AC Compressor install in crawl space – GreenBuildingAdvisor

I’m looking for solutions for installation of an AC compressor in a crawl space. I’m designing a renovation of a condominium and HOA states that:

2.15.3 Although no owner has yet done so, air conditioning equipment may

also be installed in the crawlspace, subject to appropriate conditions

and city/state approvals not yet established for NVCA.



There are clear issues with this, but as we have longer and more extreme fire seasons here in Idaho air conditioning is becoming more and more common. People just don’t want to keep their windows open and breathe smoke all night. Curious to hear if anyone has experience with similar installs.
