Hello I have a 1960ish house in climate zone 6/7 with
1/2 inch plywood
2×4 walls
r13 foil faced fiber glass insulation in walls (and the ceiling).
Some walls have paneling over drywall and wall paper over it.
Also there is an addition with clear plastic and paneling and wall paper over it.
There is full basement.
Its time for new siding and windows and like to install R10 foam continuous insulation.
Plan is to remove old siding and windows down to plywood. tape seams of plywood.
Install a drainable house wrap like tyvek drainwrap or hydro gap.
2 layers of 1 inch foam board offset and staggered.
Tape seams of foam
Install cladding.
Being that there is so many vapor barriers layers in the inside of the wall is there any issues with wall rotting, condensation, breathing etc. with this wall assembly?
