Interior window air seal and insulation question con't – GreenBuildingAdvisor

Because of the way our windows were installed, and the need to shim the brackets, our contractor placed 1/2″ polyiso insulation around the sill, header, and sides. This was done to support the drywall since it will be a full drywall surround.
We’re also installing Intello Plus, which will be taped up to and onto the window frame.
For air sealing, we used backer rod and caulk around the window to the rough opening, and the rigid insulation sits right next to that.
My question is about the small spaces around the brackets and the gaps where the insulation leaves a bit of space (shown in the attached photo). Should we leave those areas as-is and just run the Intello Plus over them to the window frame, or fill them with caulk, spray foam, or something else before applying the membrane?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
