Hello everyone , my attic has poor ventilation planning to add more soffit vents but don’t want to place any in the wrong spot . There’s a few obstacles that I’m having trouble with the AC condenser , the weird corner by chimney , the chimney /fireplace area , and this 4 inch eave area above the window farthest to the right . Should I not place soffit vents near an AC condenser or chimney or what’s the distance requirements ? The 90 degree wall setup is throwing me off since I have space there but there’s also a small ridge vent on a hip section of my roof . Which my roofer recommended but I’ve read sources saying that’s not a good idea. Should I remove the small hip ridge vent? . Also by that 4 inch eve area above the window. I don’t know if I should leave it alone or if I should add small 3 inch louver style vents or 4inch x16!aluminium vents . As of right now I have six , 8 inch by 16 aluminum vents spaced randomly with most of them being by the wall where anc condenser is . Any recommendations or ideas? Any advice would greatly be appreciated. I have a ridge vent for exhaust at the peak of the roof and that hip ridge vent and the lightbulbs on the picture represents light fixtures .
